Application: Buddhist Compass This Buddhist Compass App is a product of Bhante Subhūti and is open source. Bhante may refer to himself collectively as “we”, “us”, and “ours”. Bhante is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Notice (“Notice”) describes how Bhante processes Personal Data in its capacity as a controller (i.e. Bhante does not collect any data. The data is on your App and stays there.

There is no information collected from the Buddhist Compass Application. The only information that is received is from the Google Play store about how many anonymous downloads were completed and installed and other information that Google Play Console gives all developers.

GPS and location: Buddhist Compass uses GPS services to help you collect the GPS latitude /longitude for calculating the Compass position, so you can know your exact location and bearing to face the Buddhist or other locations. There is no data sent back to the creators / owners of Buddhist Compass App. GPS is only used once each time you press the button to collect the GPS coordinates.

Running in the background: Buddhist Compass does not run in the background.

User Preferences: Buddhist Compass stores (location) targetName and target latitude and target longitude in the “sharedPreferences” directory according to user selection. Other information stored in preferences are for the operation of the Application. This information is not encrypted.

Specifically covering user privacy: We believe privacy is important. We do not collect any information. There is no gain to the App owner except merit in this Buddhist Compass Application. We want to help you become joyous in knowing the location of the Buddhist locations. Nothing is sold to you or other third parties. The only information given to us is from Google App Store, which is anonymous, regarding the number of downloads or the number of installs, country of origin, some crash reports and other useful information regarding store downloads. We do not receive personal information.

How Does Buddhist Compass Keep Personal Data Secure? Your data is not sent to Buddhist Compass. Your security is based on your phone’s security. The preference data is not encrypted.

Links to Third Party Sites Our App may contain links to other websites that are not owned or controlled by Buddhist Compass. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other packages websites or third parties.
